About Us

What we do & what we do not do

In  our small studio we employ the following practices:

  1. We do NOT fire outside work
  2. Classes run for 2 hours and begin on the hour.  Please show up on-time, and clean your space so you can leave promptly when class ends.
  3. Please clean all tools and your workspace according to the guidelines provided by the instructor
  4. The studio is intended for student use only and those who are producing work for personal use
  5. Clay and glazes used must be those provided or purchased by this studio, or approved by the instructor
  6. Classes will be taught by the assigned instructor, or on occasion a suitable alternate.  A teacher must be present when you are working
  7. Open studio time is for currently enrolled students or students who have taken a class in the previous quarter
  8. One open studio session may be available to non-beginner students in each calendar month (a total of 4, 2-hr class/session per month).  Additional open studios are charged at $35 for enrolled students.
  9. Prior students not currently enrolled in that calendar month are charged $35 only when space in an open studio/class is available.
  10. Make up classes are available within the session, please make necessary arrangements
  11. Cancellations within 24 hours will not be offered a make up class
  12. Open studio sessions will have a monitor that may or may not be an instructor
  13. We reserve the right to refuse to fire items that may damage other's work or the kiln
  14. Items over 5 lbs may be charged a surcharge for firing
  15. Charges for damage to the kiln or shelves may be implemented on a case by case basis
  16. A $25 rebooking fee will be retained if you wish to cancel your entire reservation, provided you give notice 7 days prior to the start of the session.
  17. No walk-ins

We do not have open studio for the general public,  nor do we rent out studio space or sell materials.

Class enrollment

Students currently enrolled in our pottery classes are given first opportunity to sign up for classes offered.  Pre-payment is required for all classes.  A beginner class must be taken by all students new to the studio to learn how the studio functions. Classes are limited to 2 hours.  If you show up early or stay beyond 2 hours you may be subject to additional fees.
